Goats, Cocktails, S’mores and More Will be On Hand at the Philly Goat Project’s 2nd Annual GOAToberfest

It’s baaaa-ck. The goats of the Philly Goat Project will be returning to the Laurel Hill West Conservatory (215 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd) for the 2nd Annual GOAToberfest on Saturday, October 14th from 4:00 to 6:00pm.

This fundraiser is in support of the nonprofit and features 13 goats, signature cocktails, snacks, exclusive GOAToberFest swag, raffle for art created by the goats, short Laurel Hill West cemetery tour, 2024 goat calendar launch, fire pits with s’mores, lawn games, and other goat shenanigans.

The featured signature cocktail will be a “Hot Teddy” in reference to the goat attending named Teddy whose namesake, Teddy Pendergrass, is laid to rest at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Guests who attend Philly Goat Project’s GOAToberFest will be the first to lay eyes on and purchase the 2024 Goat Calendar. Every year the calendar includes 12 months of signature local landmarks and is purchased by hundreds of people in Philadelphia and beyond. This year’s calendar includes places like Miracle on 13th Street, The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia Union stadium, Franklin Square, and more.

Special GOAToberFest t-shirts designed by local artist, Joe Boruchow, will be for sale at the event. There will also be a silent auction for original and signed photos of the goats by local photographer, Jessica Kourkounis.

Ticket sales are in support of Philly Goat Project’s programs including early literacy, environmental education, animal-assisted therapy, community wellness, teen job skills training, as well as a new initiative this year, providing bereavement programming. Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased here.

Attendees must be 21+ to drink, but 14 years or older are welcome to attend when accompanied by a guardian. Tickets are required for all attendees, regardless of age.   The rain date is Sunday, October 15th from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
