Franklin Square is Hosting “Evening in Franklin Square” to Raise Money For Historic Philadelphia, Inc.
Historic Philadelphia, Inc. hosts the 2022 Evening in Franklin Square presented by Parx Casino. Back in person after two years of virtual events, this annual fundraiser for Historic Philadelphia, Inc. takes place in beautiful Franklin Square, one of the original William Penn squares and one of the city’s most charming historic parks filled with expansive lawns and shady trees. All proceeds support the ongoing operation and maintenance of Franklin Square.
The evening begins with cocktails and a silent auction and the Parx Square Derby, a carousel “race” where guests place bets and race to the finish, a highlight of the night. For the first time, guests will dine in the beautiful Franklin’s View with dinner provided by Cescaphe and a live auction. The evening concludes with a dazzling fountain show and dancing around the historic fountain. The co-chairs of the event are Randy Chapman, Eric Etkins, Marc Oppenheimer, and Carol Zacney.
