SUMMARY:Delaware County Symphony Presents Delco Arts Week Chamber Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Delaware County Symphony is thrilled to open its 2025–2026 season on Saturday\, October 5 at 3:00 PM with a special Chamber Concert in celebration of Delco Arts Week. The concert will feature local musicians performing a diverse program of string music along with a dynamic jazz set by the Rose Tree Pops Jazz Combo. \nThe concert’s first half highlights classical chamber works\, including a violin duet by Ignaz Pleyel\, a cello duet by Jacques Offenbach\, and a string quintet by Luigi Boccherini. Capping off the first half is “meadowhouse”\, an exciting new composition for string quartet and digital music\, co-created by hip-hop artist Aviv Jackson and composer Joe Lorini. This innovative piece blends electronic beats with live string performance\, offering a modern twist to the traditional concert format. In the second half\, the Rose Tree Pops Jazz Combo takes the stage\, bringing an energetic mix of jazz standards and improvisational flair to round out the afternoon. \nDelco Arts Week Chamber Concert will be presented on October 5 at 3:00 PM in Neumann University’s Meagher Theatre. Tickets for the concert may be purchased at dcsmusic.org/tickets
