DESCRIPTION:Time slot reservations are required\, so be sure to secure your spot in advance. \nIn honor of Record Store Day\, join us for this month’s Second Saturday at World Wide Stereo for a bring-your-own-vinyl listening party\, where you can experience the rich\, full-bodied sound of your own records on world-class audio gear. Plus\, we’re offering free turntable tune-ups throughout the event! \nEver wonder what your favorite track sounds like on some of the best systems in the world? How about a $150\,000 system? Or an $80\,000 system? Bring in your favorite records to play on our showcase systems\, savor the distinct flavors of your beloved tracks\, and hear your music in a whole new light. \nOur mission is to bring people together to listen to records. And\, while you’re here\, mingle with like-minded music lovers\, talk about HiFi gear\, and share your favorite tunes. This is a super low-key event dedicated to music-lovers and collectors of all generations. \nInterested in a full turntable tune-up? We do that\, too. For this event\, tune-ups are free! Tune-ups may include condition checks\, stylus inspection\, tonearm balance and condition\, stylus force\, anti-skating\, cartridge output and crosstalk\, and cartridge alignment or replacement. Drop-off is at our Montgomeryville showroom. Depending on demand\, your turntable may need to stay with us\, and we’ll notify you when it’s ready for pickup later in the week. Call 215-368-8343 for details. \nWhy might your turntable need a tuneup? When we drop the arm on a record\, there’s sophisticated physics involved in the playback process. A very small needle (aka stylus) reads microscopic etchings in the record groove-walls. And whether or not that needle can properly traverse those grooves is critical to ensuring perfect tracking and maximum fidelity while listening.
