Salt of the Earth: a free film screening

Presented in Room 108 on the first floor. Banned when released in 1954, and directed by blacklisted filmmakers, this film tells the story of Mexican-American workers who call a strike over unsafe work conditions and pay in comparison to their white co-workers at a New Mexico Zinc mine.
