Airy Learning Tree Winter Class \nLearn about famous artists from the 18th and 19th centuries including John Smibert\, John Wollaston and Germantown locals James Reid and George Cochran Lambdin while exploring the portraits at Cliveden. Participants will learn about the artists\, period painting styles and the people in the portraits and then have an opportunity to look at many of the paintings up close. The class fee is $25. Cliveden Street\, 19119. The Carriage House is best reached from Cliveden St.\, which is between Upsal and Johnson Streets. The Carriage House entrance is at the Morton St. end of Cliveden St.\, on the right side\, through a gate\, onto the grounds of Cliveden House. DESCRIPTION:Art Battle is a high energy\, live painting competition held around the world. It features 12 local artists who will go head to head in three 20 minute rounds\, with the winners determined by the audience’s vote. As the night unfolds\, snag a one of a kind masterpiece\, as every piece created goes up for auction. Art Battle came to Philly in May of 2024 and has been held monthly at SPiN. Applications are still open for artists that want to compete – and don’t worry if you’re not selected because there will be a chance to enter as a Wild Card artist to compete the night of the event.
