SUMMARY:Meantime + Atelier Prajje Oscar Concept Pop-up
DESCRIPTION:Over the next month\, Philadelphia-based non-profit Meantime\, in collaboration with Atelier Prajje Oscar and the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District\, will curate a storefront pop-up featuring local and Haitian-owned fashion brands at 806 N Second Street in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties neighborhood. The storefront will be open to the public Thursday through Sunday afternoons and evenings. A full schedule is available on Instagram at @prajjeoscar or @meantimephl\, and will be updated with additional information throughout the month. \nBlending high fashion\, culture\, and community\, this luxury shopping pop-up has been curated by Prajje Oscar Jean-Baptiste and offers a unique shopping destination within an immersive holiday atmosphere. Fashion\, art and objects are featured from Prajje Oscar collection\, SheWorkz\, COPA Soaps\, Callo Skin Bar\, Kadokele Jewelry\, and Boutique Boivert. The pop-up boutique’s mission is to uplift local and Haitian businesses while providing luxurious and accessible products to the community. \nMeantime is committed to activating underutilized commercial spaces in an effort to enliven street-life\, creative production\, and entrepreneurship opportunities for local communities. Since 2022\, the Philadelphia-based non-profit has curated several building and storefront activations that have included vendor markets\, workshops\, music\, cinema\, store pilots\, and art installations. \nMeantime was inspired by the work and thinking of the Philadelphia-based architectural firm ISA. Meantime is led by Brian Phillips\, Deb Katz\, Kristin DeMarco and Jiray Avedisian. \nThis Meantime activation is supported by the City of Philadelphia Commerce Department\, and The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation. Additional support from Tague Lumber\, O’Donnell Naccarato Engineers\, and Church Brick Company. \nThe pop-up shop opening event is Friday December 6 from 5:30-7:00PM.
