DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special launch celebration for Healing Verse Germantown: The Streets Are Talking\, a poetry and public art project supported by Creative Philadelphia and a winner of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge. This public art exhibition is neighborhood-wide and features 19 site-specific installations created from poems by Germantown residents impacted by gun violence. Developed in community poetry workshops\, the poems have been transformed into a variety of dynamic visual artwork including collage posters\, video installations\, augmented reality constellations\, interactive floral offerings\, and stained-glass panels on a SEPTA bus shelter.
