DESCRIPTION:July 4th FreedomFest is an annual Independence Day celebration at Pleasant Hill Park in Northeast Philadelphia. It is an inclusive\, family-friendly festival along the Delaware River. Each year\, more than 5\,000 attendees enjoy a full day of live music\, local performers\, arts and culture activities\, recreation\, food vendors\, and community programming in one of the city’s most scenic waterfront spaces. The day concludes with a spectacular fireworks show launched from a barge on the Delaware River\, offering a stunning finale to an unforgettable community celebration. Produced by nonprofit One River Alliance in partnership with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation\, the Philadelphia Police Department\, neighborhood organizations\, and local elected officials\, FreedomFest has become one of the city’s largest July 4th events and a beloved Northeast Philly tradition.

We cannot offer refunds but all registrations are considered a donation that supports Wissahickon Trails. \nAccessibility Information:\nWheelchairs and strollers are not recommended for this event\, there are three wooden/metal bridges with steps that must be crossed. However\, attendees who use mobility devices and caregivers may be dropped off at the event site before the driver parks in Ambler. The walk from parking in Ambler primarily takes place on a narrow\, natural trail and in grassy areas which may have roots\, rocks\, and/or mud. The walking surfaces are variable and participants can expect to walk 1.0 miles (0.5 miles to the Barn + 0.5 miles return trip). \nAt the Four Mills Barn there will be limited indoor and outdoor seating\, heating/air conditioning\, a water bottle refilling station\, and accessible all gender bathrooms on both floors. The first floor family restroom has a private changing table and there is a nearby private area that can be used as a lactation room.
