DESCRIPTION:Folks are always asking how we find our artists. There’s so much new and emerging talent today\, its hard to keep track of everything. That’s why we take tremendous pride in being one of the few of our peer galleries to host one open call each year\, inviting artists who have never shown with AEA to submit their work for review. \nThis year\, the ‘2025 Spotlight Showcase’ will debut on First Friday\, March 7th and feature thirty-one new (to us) artists selected from a pool of nearly 600 applicants. It is an opportunity for collectors to support truly emerging talent because\, when an open call artist hits\, it can truly make their career. To that end\, alongside the exhibition we are featuring a new solo show by Vasilisa Romanenko\, an artist who came to us through the annual open call and has since hosted three sold out solos since 2022. \nAlso on view for First Friday\, March 7th is Gerlanda di Francia’s gorgeous feature\, ‘Dear Monsters\,’ and the sixth installment of ‘With Love\, Your Biggest Fan’\, a group exhibition of twenty-six artists\, who were invited to create work as a love letter to their most beloved movies\, shows\, and characters. \nWe hope you will join us!
