SUMMARY:Block Party at the Rail Park!
DESCRIPTION:Join Asian Arts Initiative and Friends of the Rail Park to keep the summer festivities going at the Block Party at the Rail Park. \nNoble Street will come alive during the free block party which will feature AAI’s fifth presentation of SOUND TYPE\, a music festival and writers’ residency. Brooklyn-based Sound system collective and record label Dub-Stuy will keep the beat during the party featuring its Tower of Sound 15\,000-watt wooden sound system and performances from various Dub-Stuy collective members. The Block Party will also celebrate the Rail Park’s local community with hands-on arts activities and attendance from various cultural organizations. To cool off\, relax and refresh from all the fun\, FRP’s Lemonade Lounge\, featuring Philadelphia-based DJ Kevin Kong\, will be up and running with refreshments and food trucks along Noble Street. \nThis event is FREE and open to the public\, located at the Rail Park at 1300 Noble Street.
