DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exciting BioBlitz on Saturday\, April 26 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at The Woodlands! \nIn partnership with Green Philly\, The Woodlands\, Bird Philly\, Skype A Scientist\, Andrew the Arborist\, City Nature Challenge and Philadelphia Mycology Club participants will use the app iNaturalist to explore the biodiversity of The Woodlands (an incredible green space located in West Philadelphia) all while participating in community science! Community science data collected through iNaturalist observations is key to help monitor urban biodiversity health. \nWhether you’re a seasoned naturalist or a curious beginner\, all are welcome to participate in this accessible\, engaging\, educational experience. Spaces are limited so RSVP to learn more about the urban wildlife in your neighborhood! \nPlease note: The BioBlitz will coincide with the West Philly Craft Fest\, so parking won’t be available on-site. Visitors must park in the surrounding neighborhood\, but The Woodlands is easily accessible by public transit\, with the 40th Street Trolley Portal right across from the gates.
