SUMMARY:Delaware County Symphony Presents A Classical Delco Arts Week Chamber Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Delaware County Symphony Chamber Series opens its season on Sunday\, October 4 at 3:00 PM with A Classical Delco Arts Week Chamber Concert\, featuring music by some of the great composers of the classical tradition\, along with a new work by local composer and musician Joseph Lorini. \nThe program begins with Bach’s Prélude in D Major for violin\, followed by Mozart’s String Quartet No. 19 and Boccherini’s String Quintet\, Op. 30\, No. 6. The concert concludes with Hymn for America\, a new work by Lorini\, a local musician\, composer\, and arranger. Arranged for violin\, cello\, piano\, and baritone voice\, the piece celebrates America and the nation’s semiquincentennial—the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. \nA Classical Delco Arts Week Chamber Concert is part of Delco Arts Week and will be presented on October 4 at 3:00 PM in Neumann University’s Meagher Theatre.
