DESCRIPTION:FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Excitement Builds for the 2nd Annual Delaware County Jazz Jam Festival \nUpper Darby\, PA – 06/26/2024 – The much-anticipated 2nd Annual Delaware County Jazz Jam Festival is set to take place on Saturday\, July 13th (rain date: July 20th) from 4 PM to 9 PM. This vibrant event\, dedicated to showcasing young emerging musicians and artists\, promises an unforgettable evening of music\, community\, and celebration. The festival is located at the Upper Darby Township lot located at 100 Garrett Road. Upper Darby\, PA 19082 \nThis year’s festival is free and open to the public\, featuring an array of attractions including multiple food vendors\, music education vendors\, hydration stations\, and free metered parking. Attendees can look forward to a lineup of outstanding musical acts including performances by The Upper Darby Jazz Jam students\, Settlement Music School\, The COREtet from Jazz Philadelphia\, The Lovett Heins Legacy Ensemble (representing The Clef Club Of Jazz And Performing Arts)\, and the highly anticipated headliner\, jazz pianist Luke Carlos O’Reilly. O’Reilly will celebrate the release of his newest album “Leave The Gate Open\,” with a special guest appearance by vocalist Emily Braden from New York City. \nThe festival will culminate in an open jam session led by West Philadelphia’s own Omar’s Hat\, inviting all musicians and artists to participate in this dynamic and collaborative finale. \nThe event is organized by the Upper Darby Township\, Schoener MusicMan Academy (of Upper Darby Arts And Education Foundation) and jazz artist Hiruy Tirfe (pronounced Huh-Roy Turf)\, with special partnerships from Jazz Philadelphia and the School District of Philadelphia’s Mic’d Up Program. \nThe goal of the Delaware County Jazz Jam Festival is to uphold and expand the rich legacy of arts and entertainment in Upper Darby and the surrounding areas.
