In Sweden\, Easter kicks off with a trick-or-treat-like candy hunt on Maundy Thursday. Children dress up as Easter witches with long skirts\, headscarves\, painted red cheeks\, and freckles and go from house to house\, wishing people Happy Easter. \nAt our celebration\, children can make Swedish Easter crafts\, dress up as Easter witches\, enjoy face-painting\, and take part in a traditional egg hunt. The concert will conclude with help from the audience for a performance of Ravel’s Bolero\, inspired by humorist\, songwriter\, and children’s author\, Sandra Boynton. A very small needle (aka stylus) reads microscopic etchings in the record groove-walls. And whether or not that needle can properly traverse those grooves is critical to ensuring perfect tracking and maximum fidelity while listening.
