The St. David’s Church Country Fair is the longest\, continuously running church fair in the USA. Held annually on the first Saturday in October\, the Fair is full of thrifted deals\, games\, food\, fall activities\, and more! Enjoy music by 3RowBack and be sure to stop by St. David’s booth for pet blessings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. \nEach year 100% of the Fair’s proceeds are donated to over 20 deserving Delaware Valley and Philadelphia organizations\, as well as our international partners in Cuba\, Guatemala\, and Uganda. We invite you to join the over 3\,500 visitors drawn annually to the St. David’s Church Country Fair and become part of this enjoyable and worthwhile community event. All are welcome! \nOur admission fee is $5 per person\, maximum of $20 per household. Veterans and volunteers are free. Please purchase your wristband at either of the entrances. Admission fees all go to support our outreach partners! Midway wristbands for the kids are $10 for unlimited activities\, or you may pay per ticket. \nFree parking is available in the church lots and the large field on the corner of Church Road and South Valley Forge Road. Access to field parking is from the Church Road side. Overflow parking will be available at the Devon Horse Show fairgrounds. Please use the main gravel lot. There will be two buses going back and forth from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to pick up and drop off volunteers and attendees.

The young theatre historians hop in and out of the different characters and stories of the Greeks to win the praise of their English teacher–Mr. Moscow. As they delve deeper and deeper into exploring these unthinkable acts\, however\, they confront the challenges of their own lives in and outside of school – fashion malfunctions\, bullying\, and\, at its worst\, the fear of gun violence. True to the little ghost party form\, much of the play is performed on a tiny stage. \nIf Pen15 and The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) had a baby about Greek tragedy.

Remaining faithful to Poe’s original text\, solo-performer William Trevino weaves poetic language with his decades of martial arts practice to create a visceral atmosphere of suspense. As the only organization bringing polo to Philadelphia\, this signature event celebrates the extraordinary accomplishments of Work to Ride’s student-athletes and alumni while fundraising for one of Philadelphia’s most impactful youth development organizations. Work to Ride’s Arena Polo Championship is a day of high-energy arena polo with Work to Ride alumni and local champions competing in two thrilling tournament matches. Based in the new McCausland Arena\, the action takes place just feet from spectators in the largest indoor urban riding arena in the tri-state area. In addition to the Arena Polo Championship’s high-energy polo matches\, guests can expect local food trucks\, including Wokworks and The Coffee Club PHL\, a pop-up bar from MilkBoy\, and pop-up shops from Beyond Bubbles and Gail’s Amazing Cakes. Between matches\, guests can enjoy lawn games\, live DJ music and a special interactive experience from Philly Goat Project.

In addition there will be vendors of handcrafted goods in the Colonial Market\, locally-made beer and wine at the Tavern\, a Community Corner featuring local businesses and organizations\, and food vendors. \nAdmission to the Fall Festival is free. Parking is $10 per car. \nShuttle buses between the parking area and the festival site will run every 15 minutes throughout the event. Additional costs may apply for certain activities.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our FREE Open House to learn more about the Brass & Wind Project\, a program for students grades 3rd-6th who are interested in learning the musical skills essential to playing a band instrument.  \nIn weekly large and small group classes\, fundamental skills will be taught\, allowing the student to thrive in a low-pressure and supportive environment. Skills taught include:  \n\nBody awareness skills: breathing\, blowing\, posture and how to properly hold an instrument. \n\n\nExecutive & technical: embouchure formation\, finger control & dexterity\, and basic tone production. \n\n\nMusicianship skills: singing\, playing\, moving\, improvising\, creating music of all kinds\, and reading music notation alone and with others. \n\nThe skills learned will prepare them for participation in a traditional Band program and allow them to transition to playing a full-sized band instrument with relative ease.  \nNo prior experience with instrumental music is required. Students are taught by a Master Teacher and supported by Temple University undergraduate music education and performance instrumental interns.
