Skills taught include:  \n\nBody awareness skills: breathing\, blowing\, posture and how to properly hold an instrument. \n\n\nExecutive & technical: embouchure formation\, finger control & dexterity\, and basic tone production. \n\n\nMusicianship skills: singing\, playing\, moving\, improvising\, creating music of all kinds\, and reading music notation alone and with others. \n\nThe skills learned will prepare them for participation in a traditional Band program and allow them to transition to playing a full-sized band instrument with relative ease.  \nNo prior experience with instrumental music is required. Students are taught by a Master Teacher and supported by Temple University undergraduate music education and performance instrumental interns.

The St. David’s Church Country Fair is the longest\, continuously running church fair in the USA. Held annually on the first Saturday in October\, the Fair is full of thrifted deals\, games\, food\, fall activities\, and more! Enjoy music by 3RowBack and be sure to stop by St. David’s booth for pet blessings from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. \nEach year 100% of the Fair’s proceeds are donated to over 20 deserving Delaware Valley and Philadelphia organizations\, as well as our international partners in Cuba\, Guatemala\, and Uganda. We invite you to join the over 3\,500 visitors drawn annually to the St. David’s Church Country Fair and become part of this enjoyable and worthwhile community event. All are welcome! \nOur admission fee is $5 per person\, maximum of $20 per household. Veterans and volunteers are free. Please purchase your wristband at either of the entrances. Admission fees all go to support our outreach partners! Midway wristbands for the kids are $10 for unlimited activities\, or you may pay per ticket. \nFree parking is available in the church lots and the large field on the corner of Church Road and South Valley Forge Road. Access to field parking is from the Church Road side. Overflow parking will be available at the Devon Horse Show fairgrounds. Please use the main gravel lot. There will be two buses going back and forth from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to pick up and drop off volunteers and attendees.

Depending on the day\, visitors might be invited to help screen excavated soil to look for small artifacts or assist with cleaning artifacts that have already been excavated. \nScheduled 2026 Public Archaeology Days: \n\nMarch 21\nApril 18\nMay 16\nJune 20\nJuly 18\nOctober 17 – International Archaeology Day\n\n10am-3pm. Free and open to all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). No reservations are required. If you would like to help out with the dig\, be sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and close-toed footwear. Bring work gloves if you have them; the site has a limited number of pairs to lend. For safety\, hands-on participation is limited to those ages 5+.

DESCRIPTION:Cadence in the Clouds is a new kind of industry night here in the City of Brotherly Love! This unique concert experience is made to celebrate the dreamers and creatives of Philadelphia. Cadence in the Clouds is not just a show; it showcases multiple avenues of the arts while putting multiple tools and resources for Philly artists in one room where they can connect through music\, art\, and new memories to foster collaboration and helping one another further their careers. We want to show artists that they don’t need to go to New York or Los Angeles to thrive in their artistic endeavors\, they can do it right here with the right resources. \nThe night begins at 6 PM\, at the Level 28 in University City. We have tapped in with local artists and entrepreneurs of all types to create the event\, encouraging collaboration and partnership to help make dreams happen. DJ Bear-One will be setting the tone for the night\, spinning all of Hip-Hop’s finest. Kuf Knots and Christine Elise\, a dynamic harpist and rapper/producer duo will be performing an electric set\, and will be followed up by Every Ave\, a soulful rapper ready to rep his city. You will also be able to enjoy an incredible bar with specialty cocktails for purchase\, as well as complementary bites.
