In the space between\, as a self-taught chef and eventual TV host and James Beard Foundation advisor\, she’s carved out a cuisine all her own\, one that’s a testament to a life spent bridging two cultures. DESCRIPTION:A drop-in workshop making broadsides and buttons using reproductions of historical documents related to the Liberty Bell. \n\n\n\n\nMake your own broadside or a button (or both!) that declares what freedom and independence mean to you\, to either take home or contribute to our archive. \nJoin the Association for Public Art (aPA) and the Historical Society of Pennsylvania (HSP) at this hands-on workshop exploring the history behind the symbol of the Liberty Bell as part of aPA’s 250th-themed Let Freedom Ring interactive bell tower by artist Paul Ramírez Jonas at Cherry Street Pier. \nThrough a pop-up display of historical documents and photos\, hear fascinating anecdotes from HSP’s historians about the Liberty Bell’s many lives. Discover its role in abolition and women’s suffrage\, as well as a love lost long ago between the cities of Philadelphia and Dallas.
