This one-day event affords patrons an opportunity to purchase art\, jewelry\, wooden items\, glass designs\, and more directly from more than 70 local and regional artists. Admission is free and open to all ages. An updated list of artists can be found on the event’s website. (cfes.ucfsd.org/artshow) \n  \nThanks to the generosity of our participating artists\, donated art will be available for an in-person raffle at the event as well as an online auction. Auction links and information will be available on the event’s website within one week of the event. \n  \nNew this year: Due to the growing interest in artisan work\, we are introducing our Artisan Market- two rooms that will showcase pottery\, sculpture\, jewelry\, woodworking\, and other handmade wares. We are thrilled to be able to designate more space to broaden our variety of art featured at the event\, \n  \nPatrons should note that each artist will control their own payment process. While some artists may offer various payment options\, such as credit card\, Venmo\, or Apple Pay\, all artists will accept cash or personal checks. \n  \nAbout the Annual Chadds Ford Art Show and Sale \nEstablished in 1949 by Betsy Wyeth\, spouse of renowned artist Andrew Wyeth\, while their sons Jamie and Nicholas attended Chadds Ford Elementary\, the Art Show has become the institution’s largest annual fundraiser. DESCRIPTION:The Spring 2025 term of Suzuki Pre-Twinkle will run April 5 through June 7 (no class on 4/19 and 5/24). \nPre-Twinkle Classes provide opportunities for very young children to develop basic musicianship and readiness skills for success in the Suzuki approach. A core component of Pre-Twinkle classes at Temple Music Prep is Suzuki POP (Paper Orchestra Program). Students will build a violin/viola out of everyday household items\, sing\, and move with their instruments. Students will have a variety of musical enrichment activities that mix arts and crafts with music. Students will do drills to start establishing a set of violin/viola performing skills. Students will learn instrument and bow parts plus the famous “Twinkle Variations” on their Paper violin/viola. The ensemble then spontaneously performs a montage of funny and touching scenes & monologues inspired by the audience’s personal descriptions. \nMid-show\, the ensemble chooses more cards to inspire a hilarious Speed Dating Game with a special twist you’ll wish you could use on your next date!

A committed music educator with over twenty-five years of experience\, Ruth is the first African American woman to serve as the founding director of a university jazz studies program in the U.S. She serves as an artist-in-residence at Temple University and has held residencies and visiting scholar positions nationally and internationally. Concordia College awarded her an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of her contributions to the arts\, education\, and justice.
