DESCRIPTION:The Wissahickon Brewing Co. (WBC)\, City of Philadelphia and East Falls Town Watch will host a community National Night Out at WBC\, a community get-together. Community residents will observe the annual National Night Out promoting safety awareness and crime prevention. A serious topic will be recognized with a fun family event to bring neighborhoods together for free water ice & pretzels and photos on fire trucks for the kids\, and beer sampling for the adults. National Night Out locally is an annual community outreach-crime prevention initiative designed to build safer\, stronger communities. It is hosted by the Philadelphia Police Department and community partners like Wissahickon Brewing Co. who gather for block parties\, cookouts\, safety demonstrations\, and youth-friendly activities. Established in 2017\, the Wissahickon Brewing Co. is owned locally by Roxborough’s Tim Gill and his children and is an award-winning 15-barrel full-production authentic craft brewery. It will donate its facility\, staff and beer for the event. \n
