Drawing from the Pennsylvania Abolition Society (PAS) collection and commemorating the 250th anniversary of its founding\, this compelling exhibit refocuses attention on abolition as a global Black-led political movement championed by the PAS. Prices range from $4.00 for small vegetable starter plants to $30 for well-established\, exotic house plants. Choose from 100s of varieties of unique veggies\, herbs\, native plants\, and pollinators for all kinds of light and moisture conditions. SUMMARY:Crescendo Symposium: on Afro-Asian Solidarity
DESCRIPTION:This special all day symposium coincides with the exhibition Crescendo: How Art Makes Movements (1981-1999)\, and will feature a diverse array of programming\, such as artist presentations\, panel discussions\, performances\, and community-driven projects that highlight the shared experiences and struggles of Black and Asian communities. \nAsian Arts Initiative was founded in the wake of the LA Uprisings to address afro-asian solidarity. The Crescendo Symposium will explore the evolution of Afro-Asian solidarity from historical movements like the Black Panther Party to contemporary grassroots efforts. The Core Wine Course merges the Foundation (L2) and Intermediate (L3) programs into an eight-week training that provides a comprehensive wine education. It prepares students for sommelier work\, winemaking\, or advanced wine appreciation. \nThrough lectures\, tastings\, labs\, and exams\, participants explore wine regions and tasting techniques. Topics include introductions to wine regions\, sensory evaluation\, varietal identification\, and the basics of winemaking. The curriculum features wines from France\, North America\, Australia\, Italy\, Spain\, and South America. \nUpon completion\, students earn a nationally recognized Level III certification and sommelier pin from the National Wine School (NWS).
