This year marks Clover Market’s 16th year\, a milestone that highlights its enduring popularity and success. Over the years\, the Market has earned numerous accolades\, including “Best of Philly” and “Best of the Main Line.” \n“We’ve confirmed over 340 handmade and vintage vendors and close to 30 different food and beverage purveyors to participate with us at our eight outdoor Markets this year. It was a record-breaking application cycle for us\, and I’m especially excited for our customers to meet the 80 vendors from all up and down the East Coast who will be vending with us for the first time\,” says Janet Long\, Founder. \nAttendees at the Chestnut Hill Market will have food and beverage options from Many Hands Coffee\, Mom-Mom’s Kitchen\, Bonjour Creperie\, Korea Taqueria\, Redstone Pizza\, and Hangry Bear Creamery. Live music will be provided by No Relation Band from 12-3 PM\, and there will be face painting and free crafts for children. Customers can utilize street parking and the Parking Foundation lots throughout the downtown. \nThe Clover Market will also be held in the spring on April 27 in Collingswood\, May 18 in Bryn Mawr\, and June 1 in Kennett Square. DESCRIPTION:Join the curators of Free\, As One: Black Worldmaking in the Pennsylvania Abolition Society Papers\, and 1838 Black Metropolis co-founders Morgan Lloyd and Michiko Quinones for an in-depth look at some of the compelling stories from the Historical Society of Pennsylvania (HSP) archives. HSP’s newest exhibit highlights themes of Black self-determination and leadership from the 1770s onward in the abolition movement of the Mid-Atlantic region. Drawing from the Pennsylvania Abolition Society (PAS) collection and commemorating the 250th anniversary of its founding\, the exhibit refocuses attention on abolition as a global Black-led political movement championed by the PAS. Through an assembly of primary source documents\, dive deeper into the family\, community\, and freedom for future generations that were key drivers for Black abolitionists in the Philadelphia area and beyond. Morgan and Quinones guide visitors through history during this free public event.
