Known for his unique and\, some say\, liberating method for creating mosaics\, participants will examine Zagar murals\, prepare and create materials\, and make their own mosaic. \nIn this workshop\, guests learn how to cut glass\, break tile\, mix grout\, and lay out a small 9″ x 9″ mosaic to take home. The program empowers participants with mosaic-making skills and inspiration for future endeavors. Please be aware that the working space can only be accessed by stairs. This workshop is open to participants ages 12+\, but all participants under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult participant.

GANTT is an artist\, composer\, and educator focused on sound in virtual spaces\, generative systems facilitated by idiosyncratic technology\, and digital production presets as sonic readymades. He worked as a studio assistant to electronic music pioneer Morton Subotnick\, and has been an active participant in the international creative community\, presenting or performing at spaces such as Pioneer Works\, Issue Project Room\, Roulette\, Babycastles\, SVA Visible Futures Lab\, Panoply Performance Laboratory\, EMPAC\, the Wrong Biennale\, and countless DIY venues across North America.\nGantt releases music with Orange Milk and Oxtail Recordings\, and teaches experimental music and media at both institutional and grassroots spaces\, including Harvestworks\, CUNY Brooklyn\, Bard College\, Sarah Lawrence\, and a variety of community workshops aimed at creating equitable access to developing technologies. Supple yet digital\, ephemeral but instantly memorable\, Ott renders sound into vision\, yielding an immersive multi-sensory experience that is at once immediate and synergistic: a unique visual narrative born in the moment. Ott has been a resident artist with Eyebeam (NYC) and Times Square Arts\, and is a recipient of the 2022 NYFA Fellowship for Architecture and Environmental Design. Ott creates hand-drawn forms manipulated in real-time using superDraw\, a software instrument of his own design. DESCRIPTION:We’re bringing a fun all-levels 60 min vinyasa flow to Da Vinci Art Alliance! Expect sprinklings of breathwork and meditation\, themes from both yogic texts and everyday life\, and a chance to explore movement with creative sequencing that can be fun\, challenging\, and supportive. \nPlease bring your own mat and a water bottle\, and arrive a few mins before the start time. \nIf you have any yoga props you love\, please bring them. A yoga block or two can bring the ground closer for getting deeper into postures or offering support. For Shavasana\, a blanket and/or eye mask can also be lovely. A small selection of supplies will be available to borrow\, but these are first come\, first serve. \nYour Instructor\nAn artist to her core\, Sarah infuses playful movement\, creativity\, and reflection into yoga practices.
