The national recording artist will headline the Outdoor After Party & Concert at the Venetian Social Club of Chestnut Hill (located at 8030 Germantown Ave.) with local rockers Bloomer opening the show. Gates open at 4 PM. Tickets to the show are $20 and are available at the gate only (no online pre-sales). \nDuring this exclusive event\, Allman will play such classic Allman Brother’s songs as “Whipping Post\,” “Blue Sky\,” “Midnight Rider\,” and more as well as a few of his own tracks including “It Ain’t Me\,” “If Dreams Were Money\,” “Laid Back\,” and “Mule Named Whiskey.” He will be backed Philadelphia’s own Mile High Club band\, which comprises John McNutt (guitar)\, Marc Iezzi (drums)\, A.J. Hager (bass)\, Bob Nolen (percussion)\, Tim Smith (guitarist)\, and Tim McKinstry (keyboard). \nAllman\, whose bluesy soulful voice and look is reminiscent of his father in his prime\, has shared the stage with many well-known artists through the years\, including Devon Allman\, Artimus Pyle (Original Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer)\, Georgia Satellites\, Derrick St Holmes\, Toler/Townsend Band\, and Paula Nelson.
