SUMMARY:Crawl Space\, Olivia Faith Harwood
DESCRIPTION:Fuller Rosen Gallery is proud to present Crawl Space\, a new solo exhibition by Olivia Faith Harwood. At the heart of Crawl Space is an ode to the monstrous feminine—a raw and unapologetic dive into the expectations\, fears\, and generational experiences that shape Harwood’s studio practice and selfhood. Her compositional blend of memory based imagery with radiant objects imbues her haunting self-portraits with an eternal depth of mystery and ecstasy. \nJoin us for an opening reception of Crawl Space at Fuller Rosen Gallery on First Friday\, April 04 from 6-9 pm.

SUMMARY:Ogawa Pop Up at Post Haste
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday November 30th\, the great Chef Carlos Wills of Ogawa will be joining us for a very special and unique tasting menu at Post Haste! \nChef Wills’ 23-course omakase has been widely praised as one of the best culinary experiences in Philly\, including being named one of the Best New Restaurants of 2024\, and securing a spot on the Inquirer’s 76 List. His 12 seat counter is a highly sought after reservation\, and so we are beyond excited to extend his talents to our 75 seat dining room. \nFor this tasting menu\, Chef Wills will be applying his certain set of skills – careful sourcing\, precision knifework\, inventive cooking – to Post Haste’s friendly & welcoming bar for all. His attention to detail will be on display as he expands his offerings from small bites to larger composed dishes\, with flavors drawing from his background and years of experience. \nThis tasting menu is intentionally different from the omakase experience at Ogawa’s counter – think fun\, rebellious\, and a little more casual – while still showcasing the same high-quality ingredients\, passion\, love\, and care that define the Ogawa experience \nChef Wills will also be combining skills with Post Haste’s own Chef Ari Miller on some very special dishes. Expect to taste exceptionally delicious fish\, rich umami sauces & broths\, and reinventions of classic Japanese dishes through the lens of Chef Carlos’ background and passion. \nWe look forward to welcoming you for this very special tasting menu. Reservations available on Opentable.

SUMMARY:December First Saturday Open House: Mineral Mania
DESCRIPTION:Learn all about what makes different minerals special and how humans utilize them in our daily lives.\n\n\n\nUpstairs in the Wagner’s Exhibit Hall you’ll find rows of cases featuring shiny crystals\, stinky sulphur\, minerals found locally\, minerals that glow under UV light\, minerals as big as a dinner plate and those as small as a penny. \nDuring this special open house explore how people historically learned about minerals and other natural elements. Visitors can view educational lantern slides from our archives\, look at different minerals under a microscope\, and explore optical mineralogy. Visitors may also experiment with minerals from the Wagner’s teaching collection\, testing things like hardness\, luster\, color\, and cleavage to identify each mineral. We’ll also have a mineral station and children’s activity table\, featuring the metamorphic minerals of the Wissahickon. \nThere will be talks and demonstrations in our lecture hall throughout the day. Make sure to join us at 1 pm for Mineral Oddities by Karenne Snow and at 2:30 pm for a glowing demonstration of Fluorescent Minerals by Bruce Mitchell—both are longtime members of the Philadelphia Mineralogical Society. The Wagner will also have a collection of minerals for sale\, priced between $1 – $20. This is a great opportunity for those looking to start or grow their own scientific collection!

SUMMARY:Autoheart @ Warehouse on Watts\, December 3
DESCRIPTION:London-based\, queer\, indie pop trio Autoheart released their fourth studio album Heartlands in August via their own O/R Records and are out on a 31-date North American tour in support\, including December 3 @ Warehouse on Watts. \nProduced by the band and mixed by Danton Supple (Coldplay\, U2\, Pet Shop Boys)\, Heartlands is pop for overthinkers: big feelings\, bigger choruses\, and the occasional dissociative episode. A little bit camp. Maybe a lot. It’s crying at the disco – with harmonies. The record is a tribute to the landscapes they encountered on the road across the U.S. on their sold-out 2024 tour – neon-lit truck stops\, weathered diners buzzing with late-night chatter\, and long\, quiet highways at dawn. But it’s the fans – the “Heartheads” – who left the deepest mark. Heartlands is a love letter to them: a reflection of America as both real and imagined\, part emotional reckoning\, part dreamscape. \nAutoheart have long defied classification\, blending indie guitar hooks with lo-fi disco\, soaring piano ballads and electronic textures. With over 3 million monthly Spotify streams and 5 million monthly YouTube views\, they’ve built a devoted global following drawn to their open-hearted lyricism and fiercely independent ethos. Their 2021 viral hit “Stalker’s Tango” became a cult favourite in anime and cosplay circles\, catapulting them onto global charts.

SUMMARY:LILI AÑEL IN COLLINGSWOOD
DESCRIPTION:Pianist Suzzette Ortiz proudly hosts “Jazz in the Wood\,” at the \nCollingswood Community Center\, \n30 Collings Ave\, Collingswood\, NJ 08108. \nPlease join us on December 4th\, 2025\, as we welcome Lili Añel and their group. \nDoors at 7pm. The concert starts at 7:30 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. \nTickets: $15 in advance\, $20 at the door. Students are FREE! \nAbout Lili: \nLili Añel considers music a calling. This striking six-foot tall singer-songwriter-musician grew up in New York City’s Spanish Harlem\, where she discovered her passion for music. As a child\, Lili remembers singing along to her mother’s Cuban\, jazz and pop-standard albums. It was also her mother who supported Lili’s desire to join the church choir. However\, it was her Afro-Cuban grandfather’s recognition of how much joy her singing brought others\, being the voice that stood out in that choir\, which served to set her feet firmly on the path of a career in music. \nAfter establishing a music career and a large following in New York in the vibrant 1980s Greenwich Village singer-songwriter scene\, she relocated to Philadelphia in 2004. It was from her new home base where she continued to move audiences with her songs\, now more jazz-inspired\, highlighting themes reflecting her hope for the future\, standing in her truth of life’s difficulties and conjuring the strength for perseverance. All delivered with that unique voice\, alternating between low reaches one feels in their center and a sweeter\, more vulnerable falsetto. \n“Think Joan Armatrading\, Joni Mitchell and Nina Simone all rolled into one…blurs the lines between Jazz\, Folk and intelligent Pop…strong and heartfelt.” – Ken Franckling’s Jazz Notes

SUMMARY:Wanamaker light show
DESCRIPTION:Have you been to the Wanamaker light show yet? All the vendor shops are in a group chat on there\, we’re not seeing as much foot traffic as we thought there was going to be. One of the things that sucks is the coordinators are doing almost NO social media on the event. We’re trying to come up with ways to promote it ourselves\, if you’re interested I’d be willing to offer you some of my booth merch to gift or for yourself for a post on the lightshow itself. I’d even pay you to do it! \nAs small business the 10k vendor fee was a lot to be there with them doing almost zero promos. So I’m reaching out to some local influencers to see what we can do ourselves to get the word out. \nIt’s a free event\, building is gorgeous\, the dickens village part is timed tickets though. \nhttps://www.phlvisitorcenter.com/wanamaker-christmas-light-show

DESCRIPTION:Re*Membering Mavis Pusey brings together artists\, scholars\, and curators to reflect on the life and legacy of Mavis Pusey (1928–2019)—a pioneering abstract artist whose dynamic prints and paintings capture the rhythm of urban change and the resilience of Black modernity. \nTaking place during the closing weekend of the first major museum survey of Pusey’s work\, the symposium explores questions of visibility\, preservation\, and remembrance. How can acts of conservation and curation become forms of remembrance and care for artists whose legacies have been obscured? How do we care for the material and historical traces of artists whose voices have been overlooked? How can institutions reframe their roles in sustaining the legacies of Black women artists? \nHosted by the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania with funding support from Terra Foundation for American Art\, the symposium will take place across two days. On Friday\, December 5th\, ICA will host public dialogues featuring notable participants from the field\, including O’Neil Lawrence of the National Gallery of Jamaica\, conservation specialists from the Getty Research Institute and Williamstown + Atlanta Art Conservation Center\, and members of the Studio Museum in Harlem’s leadership and curatorial teams. An invitation-only scholars’ day will occur on Saturday\, December 6th.
