Visitors will be invited to interact with components of the installation and may encounter docents in guiding roles. The experience will culminate in a “lounge” space full of “Bearded baggage” which will also serve as the performance site for the Now Hoarding: In-Flight Entertainment live event series. \nIt will take visitors approximately 60-75 minutes to view the entirety of the Priority Hoarding installation. Groups of 6 will enter the installation\, at 15-minute timed entry intervals. An opportunity to ride a Surrey bike is offered but not required.

SUMMARY:Core Sommelier Course (Fall Semester) at the Philly Wine School
DESCRIPTION:Eight weeks\, 16 sessions\, and the entry point to a full professional wine curriculum. \nThe Philly Wine School has taught this material since 2001. The Core course combines the school’s Foundation and Intermediate programs into one semester — the full sequence in half the calendar time\, and for less than taking them separately. \nEach Sunday runs two sections. The first works through a wine region: France\, Italy\, Spain and Portugal\, North America\, Australia\, South America. The second builds tasting skill\, from sensory mechanics through varietal structure to blind identification. By week seven students are tasting blind. By week eight they are being examined on it. \nThe teaching is old-school and deliberately demanding — lecture\, guided tasting\, discussion\, instructor feedback\, written exams. Most students find in the first two weeks that they knew less than they thought. That is the design. Bring a notebook. \nGraduates earn Level III certification from the National Wine School and can continue into the Advanced program — four semesters\, 32 classes — and then to master-level study. \nKeith Wallace founded the school in 2001. A Napa-trained winemaker and the author of Corked & Forked\, he has taught at Drexel University. Alana Zerbe is director of wine education; she holds a J.D. and an LL.M.\, practiced law in Washington before moving into wine full time\, and developed the National Wine School’s Level One and Level Three programs. Both teach this course. \nTuition covers the course workbook and tasting materials\, both in-class exams\, and Level III certification on completion. No prerequisites. DESCRIPTION:Class Description:\nHave you ever lost something special or maybe something special has lost its use? Your best winter hat? Your favorite VHS tape? We’re going to reference our own mental images of our remembered objects as we recreate them in paper mache. \nThis will be fun and fairly easy for all skill levels\, with a few challenging moments. Ages 5-105 would be able to handle this medium. \nStudents will sculpt a generalized form in 3 dimensions. They will mix color using acrylic paint and use 2-D color\, line and shape to define and characterize the generalized 3-D form. \nStudents will gain a sculpture that stands in for a lost object. \nTeacher Info:\nBorn 1984 in New York\, NY\, Sophie White lives and works in Philadelphia\, PA. Since adolescence in a rapidly transforming NYC at the turn of the millennium\, she has made small\, cityscape paintings from observation of familiar places at various stages of becoming unfamiliar. Colorful sculptures and experimental sound and performance work sometimes accompany her paintings\, mimicking the environment in which they were made. She holds an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and a BFA from the Cooper Union School of Art. SUMMARY:Sarajevo Will Be (Everything Else Will Pass)
DESCRIPTION:Lasting from 5 April 1992 to 29 February 1996 (1\,425 days)\, the siege of Sarajevo was a prolonged military blockade of Sarajevo\, the capital of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina\, during the ethnically charged Bosnian War. The city was initially besieged by the Yugoslav People’s Army\, before they were replaced by elements of the newly-formed Army of Republika Srpska. The siege was three times longer than the Battle of Stalingrad and more than a year longer than the siege of Leningrad\, making it the longest siege of a capital city in the history of modern warfare. \nWhen the siege began\, Sarajevo’s Jewish community numbered roughly a thousand people. Many were Holocaust survivors who recognized what was starting. They stayed\, and turned their community center into a pharmacy that dispensed medicine without checking ethnic ID cards\, a soup kitchen that fed anyone who walked in\, a ham radio that carried messages when the phone lines died\, and a bus convoy operation that evacuated thousands of Sarajevans\, most of who were not Jewish. \nTikkun Olam usually gets translated as repair of the world\, and then left there\, floating somewhere above the actual world. In Sarajevo this happened in the real\, present sense; it looked like counting pills\, keeping lists\, and loading buses\, for four years\, without stopping\, for whoever showed up. \nYeda Theatre traveled to Bosnia and interviewed the people who ran it\, including Jakob Finci\, the former president of the Jewish community who led twelve evacuation convoys. Those recorded voices are what created this piece\, alongside movement\, live violin and accordion\, and shadow puppetry. \nThrough movement\, we remember. Through remembering\, we act.

DESCRIPTION:FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE \nPhiladelphia Photography Exhibition\n“The Red Lipstick Diaries”\nto Benefit Artist Reuben “Big Rube” Harley \n\n\nPHILADELPHIA\, PA — Philadelphia’s creative community will gather on Thursday\, October 15\, 2026\, from 6:00–10:00 PM for The Red Lipstick Diaries\, a photography exhibition and print sale honoring the work of local photographer and Philadelphia cultural figure Reuben “Big Rube” Harley. Presented by Miss Mahogany LLC and RMW Marketing\, the event will transform The Stable at Crane Arts\, 1431 N. Cadwallader Street\, Philadelphia\, PA 19122\, into a luxury lounge experience for the opening reception\, featuring curator discussions and interactive fashion and beauty collaborations. \nHarley\, a longtime Philadelphia cultural figure known for photography that captures people\, personality\, beauty\, and culture\, is currently facing significant medical expenses. From 2011 to 2017\, he chronicled Philadelphia’s\nstreet-fashion scene as a columnist and photographer for the Philadelphia Daily News. \nThe Red Lipstick Diaries was organized to put Harley’s work and his curated “Lipheele” collection on public display\nwhile giving the community a direct opportunity to support him through print purchases at the exhibition.
