DESCRIPTION:This fall\, history becomes a scavenger hunt as Historic Germantown debuts its second Stamp Rally of the year. Launching September 12 at noon\, the Historic Germantown 250th Stamp Rally invites residents and visitors to uncover the pioneers whose stories are rooted throughout the neighborhood. The free\, family-friendly experience takes visitors on a scavenger hunt across Northwest Philadelphia\, where they can collect stamps and discover the remarkable individuals who have shaped Historic Germantown’s past and present. Running through November 14\, the Stamp Rally builds on Historic Germantown’s year-long celebration of America’s 250th anniversary by putting the people behind the history at the center of the experience. From artists and abolitionists to educators\, activists\, and innovators\, participants will encounter stories of individuals whose achievements made an impact not only on Germantown but on Philadelphia and the nation.

DESCRIPTION:Philadelphia nonprofit Uplift Center for Grieving Children (Uplift)\, which provides free therapeutic grief support services and programs for youth and their families\, announces “Holding Grief: From Firsts to Always\,” a free exhibition of artwork created by local children\, teens\, and their caregivers through its “Uplifting Voices: Art That Speaks” community art program. \n“Holding Grief” recognizes that grief is not confined to singular moments but is an ongoing journey – from the first moment without someone to every moment after. The free event will display works of art made during three free drop-in art nights which took place between June and August 2026. Attendees of all ages can enjoy creative activities\, performances by the PME Drumline\, and a catered buffet by Butter’s Soul Food.
