If you’re not familiar (you might be the only one), Erin Express is a St. Pattys day bar crawl that’s been going strong for 30+ years. The owners of Cavanaugh’s and Smokey Joes decided that it would be a good idea to order up 10+ buses and have them rotate between 15 Philadelphia bars on 2 consecutive weekends surrounding St. Paddys day weekend. The idea caught on and the Erin Express has been a raging success ever since.
This year’s buses will run on March 5th for the official warm up crawl and then again on March 12th for the Official Erin Express Pub Crawl. The buses will start running at roughly 12pm and end around 6pm.
The buses are FREE, but I would bring cash so you easily pop into the bar, grab a drink or two and be onto the next! Some of the bars actually have an outdoor area that is utilized as expanded space to partay. You’ll need to get on the bus to figure out which ones 😉
The buses will stop at each bar on the list every 15 minutes or so depending on traffic. All you need to do to join in is go to a participating bar, have a drink and jump on the bus when it pulls up outside.
DON’T BE FOOLED BY IMITATIONS, THE OFFICIAL ERIN EXPRESS HAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE A FREE EVENT!
