The Clay Studio presents Clay & Conversations, an exciting series of informal conversations and get – with ceramic artists, curators, scholars, and friends together. February 13, join South Korean ceramic sculptor Jinsik Yoo to discuss his new series of figurative sculptures in his exhibition, Palimpsest. The exhibition reinterprets the Korean funerary ritual of Jesa into a personal mythology, reflecting lineage, memory, and belonging.
Jinsik Yoo’s has been exhibited and presented nationally and internationally. His studio practice involves translating photographs into paintings, which are then spliced and reassembled into three-dimensional forms. Participants can register for the discussion on Zoom.
