Sip, Shop, and Support: Chestnut Hill Hosts Heartwarming Charity Event for Hand2Paw
Philadelphia, PA — On Saturday, August 2, Time:(10am-2pm) Chestnut Hill will come alive with balloons, wagging tails, and open hearts during a special Sip & Shop event in support of Hand2Paw, a Philadelphia nonprofit that empowers at-risk youth through paid internships, workforce training, and mentorship in animal welfare settings, as a way to strengthen connection, compassion, and community.
The epicenter of the event is Home Works (8129 Germantown Avenue), where Hand2Paw’s team members, interns, and board members will be present to share how the organization creates pathways to employment and personal growth for young adults, while providing essential care and enrichment for rescue animals. Guests can meet some adoptable pups, learn how to get involved, and pick up maps of participating retailers along the shopping trail.
Shoppers can also pick up the shopping trail maps and information about participating retailers, including members of Chestnut Hill Design Destination, a collective of design-focused businesses committed to elevating Chestnut Hill as a premier destination for designers, architects, and style-conscious shoppers.
Participating businesses along the Avenue will be marked with balloons—and even McNally’s Tavern is joining the effort, featuring a limited-edition Hand2Paw SCHMITTER® , with a portion of proceeds going to support the organization.
From stylish finds to snuggly pups, this is a day for raising glasses, opening hearts, and giving back to an organization making a difference in the lives of Philadelphia’s youth and rescue animals.
