Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Celebrates America’s 250th

PYO closes its season with a powerful program of American signature works, in celebration of America’s 250 birthday!
Joined by the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia, the orchestra presents Thompson’s moving The Testament of Freedom and Copland’s triumphant Third Symphony. The evening also features Schuman’s New England Triptych and Stravinsky’s arrangement of The Star-Spangled Banner.
