“A Romance in Lower Mathematics” showcases Kelly Dzioba’s exploration of connection through intricate, rule-based processes. Inspired by the 1965 animated short The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower Mathematics, Dzioba’s minimalist, geometric works emerge from repeated gestures — twisting, knotting, and connecting materials into cohesive forms. Each piece captures the moment when individual stitches and threads accumulate to create something greater, evoking a sense of romance and resonance.
Join us for the opening reception on April 4 from 5–8 PM and the closing reception on May 2 from 5–8 PM, with an artist talk at 6:30 PM at both events. Light bites and refreshments will be served.
