On Practice: Pew Fellows in Conversation with Jonathan González, Sosena Solomon, and Omar Tate

What does it take to sustain a creative life? The On Practice series, presented by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage in partnership with the Barnes, brings the 2025 cohort of Pew Fellows in the Arts together to share artistic process, influences, and ideas behind their work. Join us for an intimate look at how the artists shaping Philadelphia’s cultural scene experiment, discover, and create.

Today’s program features choreographer and artist Jonathan González, filmmaker and multimedia visual artist Sosena Solomon, and visual artist and chef Omar Tate in a conversation exploring questions of aesthetic preservation, mythography, and cultural memory. The Barnes’s James Claiborne moderates the discussion.

This event takes place in the Comcast NBCUniversal Auditorium.
