ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS
We are so excited to welcome back Dustin Cecil of Mr. Broomtown for two separate Introduction to Broom-Making workshops!!!
Fan Whisk & Altar Broom Making – 12-2 PM
$70.00
Students will make two (2) fanned hand brooms in the traditional style. This hand broom is great for sweeping up little messes or perfect as an altar broom to clean up your space before or after spells or clear energy for a ritual.
These brooms are functional but also make great decorative items and great gifts!
No experience is required for this project. Everyone will go home with at least one completed whisk broom (most make two).
Cobwebber Broom Making – 4 – 7 PM
$70.00
Students will make a primitive cobweb broom in the traditional style. This lightweight narrow broom is great for reaching all the places cobwebs can be found. It is great for sweeping the ceiling, and for flying too!
These brooms are completely functional but make great decorative items and great gifts! In this workshop, we will learn the basic weaving techniques used to make a broom, with natural broomcorn (sorghum).
No experience is required for this project. Everyone will go home with at least one completed cobweb broom (most make two).
Register for one or both workshops — register for both and get a $15 discount! The workshops are $70 per ticket per class OR $125 for both workshops, including all materials, tea, and the teacher’s energy, wisdom, and travel time.
Tea will be provided and you are welcome to BYO drinks and snacks!
