Hiruy Tirfe and the Studio Wednesdays House Band Presents “Pre-Roots Picnic Jam Session”

Philadelphia, PA – May 11, 2024 – In celebration of the upcoming Roots Picnic, Hiruy Tirfe and The Studio Wednesdays House Band invite music enthusiasts to experience the “Pre-Roots Picnic Jam Session” on May 30th, 2024, at Time Restaurant (1315 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19107) from 10pm to 2am. This event promises an unforgettable evening of live music and spontaneous creativity, offering attendees a unique glimpse into the dynamic music scene of Philadelphia.

Hiruy Tirfe, the distinguished saxophonist and multifaceted artist hailing from the vibrant city of Philadelphia, PA, has recently taken the music world by storm with the release of his debut album, “10,000 Hours.” This highly anticipated record has not only captivated audiences in the United States but has also garnered attention and acclaim across Europe and South America, solidifying Tirfe’s status as a global musical force. Tirfe’s impressive resume includes collaborations with top industry artists such as Patti LaBelle, The Roots, Tye Tribbett, Brandy, Solange Knowles, and many more.

Accompanying Tirfe for this extraordinary event is the Studio Wednesdays House Band, a small but mighty unit from Philadelphia known for their high-energy monthly musical events at Silk City Diner and Lounge. These nights are dedicated to improvisation, musicianship, and community, featuring new and fresh songs created in the moment. The Studio Wednesdays House Band has supported a multitude of Philly artists including Jermaine Dolly, MARE, JustMADNice, Chill Moody, and numerous others. They are also set to be the official house band for the annual “Voices Of Hope; A Celebration Of Black Excellence” for the third consecutive year (event will be held June 6th at The Mann Music Center.
