Days of Awe

September 26 @ 5:30 am - 6:30 pm
Event Series (See All)
$25

A year after her mother’s death, a poet in recovery moves home to Philadelphia with a suitcase, a divorce, and a lifetime of inherited stories. Set during the ten days from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur, Days of Awe blends poetry, storytelling, and chutzpah into a lyrical reckoning with grief, desire, and the inheritances we carry.

From sleepless West Philly stoops to the ghost-lit borderlands of the Pale of Settlement, this solo show traverses geographies and generations, tracing a lineage of Jewish women through silence, survival, and return.

Told with equal parts reverence and irreverence, Days of Awe draws on family history and Jewish ritual to ask how we can carry loss while allowing ourselves to fall back in love with the world.

Days of Awe is presented as part of the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and Cannonball.

The show will take place on the third floor of the Asian Arts Initiative (1219 Vine Street Philadelphia, PA 19107)

Tickets are available through FringeArts for $25 (pay-what-you-can options avilable): https://phillyfringe.org/events/days-of-awe/
