David Lynch’s first feature, Eraserhead (1977), is a surrealist black-and-white horror film set against the backdrop of a stark and corrupt industrial cityscape. Lynch has attributed inspiration for the setting to his time as a student in 1960s Philadelphia. Join us at Laurel Hill East for a screening of this cult classic at 8:30 PM, following a popup artists’ market at 7:00 PM and trivia hosted by the Philadelphia Film Society, co-host of our outdoor cinema series.
This event is taking place during Love Your Park Week, a citywide celebration of Philadelphia’s park system.
