A Case for Magic, for lovers of magic shows and their ambivalent friends

After overhearing someone dismiss magic as “the lowest form of entertainment,” Malissa set out to prove otherwise. He will lie, cheat, and charm his way into your heart with original presentations of sleight of hand, mentalism, and sneaky swindles, while making the case for the art of deception. Along the way, Malissa portrays Mindelagosi, the world’s greatest fake mind reader, a carnival conman, a gambling hustler, and more. Audience members become the stars as Malissa riffs on the corporate grind, turning interns and employees into unforgettable comedic accomplices. The show has been performed at the Philadelphia and New York Fringes and headlined at the Smoke and Mirrors Magic Theater.

After college Malissa performed magic busking in Europe. He was often told to go to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. More than 30 years later, he is taking his acclaimed show to that world-famous festival this August.
