European-Based Disco Party, “Glitterbox” is Stopping in Philly for the First Time Featuring World Class DJs
Back in 2014 Simon Dunmore, founder of house music institution Defected Record created a nightlife event that quickly become a global sensation. Known as Glitterbox, this dance party has swept through dance floors at venues such as Ibiza super club HÏ, London’s Printworks, The Warehouse Project, Creamfields, IVY Sydney, Tomorrowland, Rex Club in Paris and more. Now Glitterbox is making its first ever stop right here in Philly.
On Friday September 8th, Fabrika (1108 Frankford Ave.) will host Glitterbox featuring a lineup of international and local DJs. Defected Records along with Adrian Hardy, and Val Teachout have helped curate this event.
“Glitterbox is highly regarded as one of the biggest disco party brands in the world. Not disco in the sense of classic stereotypes, but performance-centric disco and groovy house music played by legendary DJs who have been pioneering the genre for decades,” Val explains. “Guests can expect a heavily stacked DJ lineup including world class talent from the local, national, and international circuits, as well as top tier performer appearances and a highly energetic yet musically knowledgeable party crowd,” Val adds.
DJs scheduled to perform include Anna Collecta, Carl Craig, Eli Escobar, Ladymonix, and local support to be announced. Tickets are available on Eventbrite and start at $25 for GA early bird (ends Sept. 9th), $35-$55 for GA (depending on tier), and $60+ for VIP. Table service is also available.
