El Techo is Hosting “Radio Fresca” a Rooftop Day Party Series With Rotating DJs, Complimentary Snacks & More
If you’re on the hunt for a rooftop day party, look no further. El Techo Rooftop (1830 Ludlow) is launching a new series dubbed Radio Fresca that will run June through September.
Produced by industry vets Valerie Teachout ( @extrablondeevents ) , Ben Arsenal ( @Benarsenal ), @DJRoyale_ , & KSpence (@kspencemedia ), Radio Fresca will kick off on Sunday June 30th from 4 pm – 10 pm. The collective came together to provide more options for those looking for a Sunday day parties that used to be a lot more prevalent. “Philadelphia’s Day Party scene has taken some hits the past few years, so we were really on the hunt for a space that was not only open to this concept, but willing to build something from the ground up,” states event organizer Val Teachout.
“Expect a space where being a wallflower is not an option as Radio Fresca is not the type of party where all people do is sit and observe. We want guests to dance, participate, and meet new people. DJs Ben, Royale, and Ohlei (@ohlei) each have experience curating their own parties, and we expect their collaboration to feature music from all around the world. In addition to our three DJs we will also have live drums from Pablo Batista (@pablobatistapercussion) and stunning vocalist Tone Squared (@tonesquared2),” Val explains.
Just so people can keep their momentum throughout the night, El Techo is providing complimentary snacks throughout the party. As of course, their cocktail menu featuring rare agave spirits will be on full display too. If you enjoy multicultural music and want an intimate, comfortable space to do it in (there’s AC as well as a retractable roof), this is definitely the place. “We know that people want to socialize on Sundays without dragging the next day, so we hope a sunset party allows guests to enjoy the end of the weekend and in bed at a reasonable hour without feeling FOMO for having to leave early,” Val adds. If you’re unable to make the kick-off, the next Radio Fresca will take place on July 28th.

General admission to Radio Fresca is $20 per person ($25 at the door) and includes complimentary snacks including flautas, empanadas, guacamole, and salsa.
