Dorney Park Will End Their Season Early and Will Not Open Wildwater Kingdom This Summer
Every summer hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to Dorney Park every summer. Some go as a summer ritual, others just go sparingly as thrill-seekers. However, wherever you fall on the spectrum one thing is for certain, no one will be able to enjoy the rides and games after early September, Dorney Park announced that their 2020 season will end September 7th.
The theme park is citing COVID-19 as the main cause. In a statement released to the press Dorney Officials stated, “Because of the ongoing uncertainties surrounding COVID-19, we have had to make some difficult decisions regarding the remainder of 2020.”
In addition Dorney’s Wildwater Kingdom will be closed for the 2020 season. Dorney Park stated that all 2020 passes and add-ons will be transferred to the 2021 season. For those looking to get a head start on the 2021 summer season, those passes will go on sale September 8th.
“We have been thrilled to welcome guests back to the park this year. 2020 has truly been a unique season and I thank our guests and associates for making Dorney Park a fun and safe place to visit. We appreciate everyone’s support and cooperation with the park’s new health and safety measures — we are getting through this together,” Dorney added.
