Dine Latino Restaurant Week Returns With Special Offers at Over a Dozen of Philly’s Best Latino-Owned Restaurants
Has there been a Latino restaurant that you have been dying to try? Well, now’s your chance because the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GPHCC) just announced its eighth iteration of Dine Latino Restaurant Week, taking place April 7-13, 2024.
The celebration of culture will include a robust list of new and returning Latino-owned restaurants in and around the City of Philadelphia, providing an array of culinary styles beyond traditional Latino cuisine. The seven-day culinary event will offer patrons one (1) complimentary appetizer or dessert with the purchase of two (2) dinner entrees.
“Dine Latino Restaurant Week not only provides a platform for showcasing the culinary talents and cultural richness of Latino-owned establishments but also fosters vital support and recognition for these businesses within our communities,” stated Jennifer Rodriguez, President & CEO of GPHCC. “Throughout the week, we affirm our commitment to celebrating diversity, supporting local entrepreneurs, and embracing the flavors that are influencing restaurant kitchens across the region.”
Dine Latino Restaurant Week was initially designed to support Latino-owned businesses during the pandemic and has now become a permanent feature of GPHCC’s calendar of events. The GPHCC’s mission through Dine Latino is to cultivate new opportunities and generate awareness for Latino-owned and operated restaurants by driving customers to explore their community and celebrate the region’s diverse culinary offerings.
Sponsored by AAA Insurance, Dine Latino Restaurant Week creates the opportunity for enhanced patronage of some of the region’s most beloved and new Latino-owned restaurants at no cost to participating restaurants. The event will explore a tantalizing fusion of Peruvian flavors, including chef’s popular BBQ chicken and ceviche.
Placencia opened Brazas BBQ Chicken to showcase the street foods and party foods of his native Peru. Educated at the Culinary Institute of America, he trained under Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Brazas BBQ Chicken started as a ghost kitchen during the pandemic and has recently established a brick-and-mortar location along South Street, Philadelphia.
