Christmas Underwater is Back at Adventure Aquarium Featuring Scuba Santa and The Worlds Tallest Underwater Christmas Tree
If you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate the holiday season, then you may want to cross the bridge to Adventure Aquarium (1 Riverside Dr.) From November 23rd- December 24th, the aquarium will be running their annual Christmas Underwater event.
Guests will get to watch as Scuba Santas dive with sharks, sea turtles, and rays, sharing Christmas cheer with visitors. In addition, Christmas Underwater also boasts the world’s tallest underwater Christmas Tree and magical snow-like flurries in the Snowtunda. Christmas Underwater is a tradition that is now in its 15th season and offers plenty of great photo-ops and memories for families.
NEW THIS YEAR
This year’s Christmas Underwater Experience will include new larger-than-life photo ops including a magnificent 18-foot tree, lit top to bottom with a dazzling array of ever-changing colors and patterns.
SCUBA SANTA
The star of Christmas Underwater is Scuba Santa, who will be swimming to town to share holiday cheer with believers of all ages (and species). Guests can interact and snap selfies with Scuba Santa, who will dive daily among sea turtles, sharks, and stingrays.

Weekdays | 10:30-11:15 a.m.; 12:30-1:15 p.m.; 2:30-3:15 p.m.
Weekends | 10:30-11:30 a.m.; 12:30-1:30 p.m.; 3:00-4:00 p.m.
SANTA MEET & GREET
Meet Santa on land, Friday – Sunday, in his magic workshop to take photos and tell him what you wish for this Merry Fishmas.

SNOWTUNDA
Guests can enjoy the “snow” indoors as they stroll through the Snowtunda, which sprinkles the heart of the Aquarium with faux flurries.
WORLD’S TALLEST UNDERWATER CHRISTMAS TREE
Visitors can soak in the fish-mas cheer while viewing the World’s Tallest Underwater Christmas Tree, displayed among the Aquarium’s sandbar, sand tiger, and nurse sharks.
MERRY FISHMAS, BORIS (PUPPET SHOW)
The little guppies in your group will enjoy this show as puppet friends Whitney and Finley try to surprise Boris the shark with the perfect Fishmas gift.
Other holiday delights include the Aquarium’s many holiday-themed photo ops, festive Gift Shop offerings, twinkling lights, jaw-some holiday décor, and the chance to write letters to Scuba Santa.
