Chinatown Will Host a Special Lunar New Year Midnight Parade With Firecrackers, Lion Dancing and More
Philly’s Chinatown community is one of the best in the country and this Friday they will treat visitors to a spacial Lunar New Year celebration to ring in the year of the rabbit.
On Friday February 9th, gather around for a special Lunar New Year parade kicking-off at 10 pm. Led by the storied Philadelphia Suns who have been showcasing culture for over 50 years, spectators will be treated to a late night party in the streets complete with lion dancing, drummers, music, and of course firecrackers. The parade will kick off at North 10th and Spring Street.
Can’t make it Friday night? No problem, the parade returns Sunday, February 11th for a daytime parade starting at 11 am and will follow the same route.
