Center City District Restaurant Week is Back This January to Welcome Diners in the New Year With 100+ Participating Eateries

We may have to put some New Year’s resolutions on hold because the largest restaurant week in the city is back. Center City District Restaurant Week is returning to welcome foodies in the new year with over 100 participating locations.

Beginning Sunday, January 19 through Saturday, February 1, dozens of restaurants across Center City will offer exclusive menu discounts, with three-course, prix-fixe dinners available for just $40 or $60 and two-course lunches for $20. The full list of participating restaurants can be found at ccdrestaurantweek.com.

For an additional price, creative cocktail pairings can be added to complement CCD Restaurant Week menus with featured Suntory Global Spirits brands, Jim Beam® Black and Roku® Gin. Tax, gratuity and other beverages are not included in the prix-fixe menu discount. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made through OpenTable.

As always, Center City District strongly encourages all diners to tip restaurant staff generously.

“Center City District Restaurant Week is more than just a prix-fixe dining promotion; it’s an excellent way to open up our celebrated fine dining scene to a wider audience,” said Prema Katari Gupta, CCD President and CEO. “I want to thank every chef, line cook, busser, server, dishwasher, hostess and bartender for their roles in making Restaurant Week an experience that people from around the region look forward to every year.”

Discounted parking will be available for $10 or less every night of the promotion from 4:45 p.m. through 1 a.m. at select Bexpark by Brandywine, LAZ and Philadelphia Parking Authority locations. To receive the discount, guests must visit ccdrestaurantweek.com to find the closest garage to their dining destination and follow the instructions provided. Some locations allow the use of a digital parking voucher, which can be accessed directly on the website, and others require reservations made in advance.

CCD’s popular Dinner for a Year promotion is also returning. Participants can submit for a chance to win at ccdrestaurantweek.com; no purchase is necessary.

Front- and back-of-house workers are a vital component of the ongoing success of CCD Restaurant Week. CCD has asked participating restaurants to nominate members of their staff for the chance to win a $500 “tip.” Five winners will be selected at random, with all nominees receiving a small gift as a token of appreciation. Winners will be announced after the conclusion of CCD Restaurant Week.

“Center City continues to be the region’s premier destination for shopping, entertainment, and most notably, dining. Restaurant Week helps to spotlight the chefs and restaurateurs who work tirelessly to uphold that reputation and gives thousands of people the opportunity to try their best dishes at a discounted rate,” said Michelle Shannon, CCD Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “With the holidays approaching, restaurant gift cards make excellent gifts for family and friends.”

Center City Restaurant Week can provide a much-needed boost to restaurants during a slower winter season. With more city-goers dining out, more people were walking Center City streets last winter, including an uptick of workers coming into the office. From January 19 to February 1st, 2024, weekdays saw an average increase of 32% more non-resident workers between 4 pm – 10 pm and 34% more non-resident workers all day than the weeks before and after Restaurant Week.
