Celebrity Chef Michael Schulson is Opening His Newest Restaurant “Prunella” in Center City

It looks like the 13th Street corridor is about to get a spot for all the local foodies to try out.  On Wednesday March 23rd, celebrity chef Michael Schulson is opening his latest restaurant “Prunella” at 112 S. 13th St.

This very Instramable restaurant is the latest addition for the Schulson Collective which continues to grow its foot print-on the 13th street corridor with the already existing Sampan, Graffiti Bar, Double Knot, Alpen Rose and a soon-to-be-announced new concept on the opposite corner.

An effortlessly beautiful space that is both casual and energetic, Prunella will attract visitors as well as regulars from the neighborhood. On the menu, Culinary Director Ed Pinello will offer anAmerican-style pizza and fresh pasta such as Saffron Cavatelli with Lamb Ragu, Spaghetti Al Limone with Serrano, plus a few inspired salads and small plates from Octopus with Grilled Lemon to RoastedEggplant “Caponata.”

Guests will enjoy wine, beer and thoughtful cocktails that were selected and designed to complement the upscale-casual menu. The space’s white marble-topped bar is its showpiece, where restaurant guests will be seated alongside a few café tables.

On days with a pleasant forecast, the floor-to-ceiling windows will swing open to more café tables set for outdoor seating. Lush greenery, handsome wood floors and decorative accents set against the white-washed brick wall will impart a light and airy ambience with a cool neighborhood vibe. Prunella will be open for dinner daily.Hours of Operation: Dinner Daily: Sunday-Tuesday from 4:00p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 12 a.m.
