Campus Philly’s CollegeFest Is Welcoming Students to Philly with Free Museums, Free PHLASH Rides, and a Block Party
It’s that time of the year. That’s right, time to welcome new college students to the City of Brotherly Love. As part of this warm welcome, Campus Philly is set to welcome more than 20,000 college students at this year’s CollegeFest featuring free entry to museums, complimentary PHLASH Rids, and a special block party.
CollegeFest kicks will take place September 14th and 15th and is co-presented by Dunkin’, SEPTA, Citizens, and IKEA, with additional programming as part of Campus Philly’s 20th anniversary celebration.
More than 25 museums and historical sites will offer free admission throughout the weekend, exclusively for college students who sign up for CollegeFest at campusphilly.org. Students can present their confirmation email at participating locations for free admission.
The Campus Philly Block Party will make its return for the third year, taking place on Saturday, September 14thon Race Street between 19th and 20th Streets from 10am-3pm.
The Block Party will feature local brands, live performances, swag and giveaways, and Philly-area vendors. This year’s festivities are presented in partnership with Moore College of Art & Design, and the Academy of Natural Sciences.
New for this year, Campus Philly has released an interactive CollegeFest map, integrated on campusphilly.org, which will allow participating college students to easily find museum locations, learn more about activations and special deals, and receive important “know-before-you-go” updates. Attendees can use the interactive map to explore museums and historic sites, filter by neighborhood, set personal preferences, and create their personalized itineraries.
CollegeFest is free for any college student, and interested attendees must register in advance at campusphilly.org.
For those not familiar, Campus Philly is an economic development non-profit that fuels inclusive growth by empowering diverse college students and recent graduates to explore, live, and work in Greater Philadelphia.
