Brian Sanders’ Junk Presents “Beaux Tease” Featuring Live Performances and Virtual Headset Screenings
Brian Sanders’ JUNK presents “Beaux Tease” at the Concourse Dance Bar to launch their 30th Anniversary season! The event will preview multiple performances from the new season, including their collaboration with the Philadelphia Orchestra, their 2022 Fringe Festival show, “Luster,” and annual fundraiser, “Snowball.” Patrons will be treated to a special guest appearance by Urban Movement Arts. Guests will also be treated to avant-garde go-go installations and special virtual reality headset screenings. Over the last 30 years, Brian Sanders’ JUNK has created inventive work engaging patron’s five senses, inviting audience members to immerse themselves into Sander’s visions. The performances, sometimes provocative, bridge the gap between dance and physical theater. Each hand-selected site-specific show allows the skilled and high-energy performers to engage audiences with dance in unconventional but accessible ways that offer viewers a distinctly JUNK experience.
There are also limited Beaux Tease “Special Features” tickets available, which include early admission at 7 p.m. and preferred seating, a sultry performance by former JUNK dancer turned “MasterChef” Season 5 winner Courtney Lapresi. “Special Features” tickets also allow patrons early access to a re-envisioned VR experience from “2nd Sanctuary,” two complimentary drinks, and a listing in the 30th Anniversary Souvenir Program booklet.
