If you’re putting together your list of things to do for spooky season, then you may want to put the Betsy Ross House on your list of spooky things to do especially if you love a great classic scary flick and haunting history.

For movie lovers, bring your snacks and drinks and get ready for the screening of Night of the Living Dead on Friday, October 4th.  The movie will begin at dusk in in the Betsey Ross Courtyard  , but guests are invited to arrive early for a chilling, candlelit tour of the Betsy Ross House. Advance tickets are strongly encouraged.

Then get ready for the brand-new Bloodletting & Burials taking place every Saturdays in October. Meet at Betsy’s grave in the courtyard and uncover macabre tales about bloodletting, smallpox, yellow fever and other ghoulish … and very true … experiences. Along the way, meet figures who lived through the ghastly 18 th century and discover why Philadelphia was an infectious place to be.
