Attention All Dog Owners That Love Harry Potter, Craft Hall is Host its Inaugural Dogwarts Quidditch Tournament
Calling all muggles with puggles! You are formally invited to attend a competitive Qudditich match at Dogwarts, the School of Good Boys and Good Girls. Craft Hall and Unleashed Bark & Beer (901 N. Delaware Avenue) present the inaugural Welcome to Dogwarts Quidditch Tournament on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. All well-behaved puggles are invited to fetch the golden snitch and win points for their house, while the muggles drink potions handcrafted by Craft Hall’s Professors of Liquid Bar Arts with drink proceeds benefiting the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The event is free for those wishing to enter their puggle, as well as to those flying in to cheer on the fantastic beasts.

Welcome to Dogwarts is a brand new event and charity fundraiser that brings together Harry Pawter fans and their furry and friendly fantastic beasts. The quidditch tournament will commence with the opening hat sorting ceremony at 1:00pm. After the puggles have been assigned to their house the competition will commence. Puggles must be 45 pounds or under to participate in the match. Puggles over 45 pounds are welcome to come watch, cheer, bark and play – as well as enjoy Unleashed Bark & Beer.
In addition to the quidditch match, there will be special backdrops and magical decor to take photos with furry friends for the full Dogwarts experience. Muggles can also enjoy delicious potion specials so good it will be hard to keep their Raven-claws off of ‘em. With each potion purchase the PSPCA gains a point ($1) donated towards their Dogwart house.
For this event, the fantastic beasts will compete in the tournament inside Craft Hall itself, but Philadelphia’s first dog park and beer garden hybrid will be open outside as well for warm-ups, zoomies and for those who need to visit Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom. Inside or out, puggles and muggles will have a magical time!
While Welcome to Dogwarts is a free event to attend and compete in, muggles are asked to register their puggles in advance in order to receive the special invitation to compete in the formal match. Registration can be found on the Crafthall website.
Dogwarts Professors kindly ask that all puggles are up-to-date on all vaccines and shots. It is also preferred that all four-legged friends be neutered/spayed. These are to allow for all dog’s safety and protection so they can enjoy the day with no worries.
Any Harry Pawter fans wishing to come cheer on the puggles are welcome. Admission is free for all, and all food and drink is pay-as-you-go. Twenty-one and over to drink with identification. This event is family-friendly, so bring the little muggles too!
All dogs must be leashed inside the event, however dogs can get their zoomies on unleashed outside at the secure Unleashed Bark & Beer dog park and beer garden.
